Elementary Art

Elementary Art Education in the Bethlehem Area School District is grounded in the belief that all students have creative potential.

K-5 students have art class once every week. Students learn a variety of skills, explore and discuss essential questions, use art-specific vocabulary, and work with different mediums. Students also learn about historically significant and contemporary global artists, their works, and their influence. Students are assessed through rubrics, "I Can" statements aligned to the National Art Standards, portfolios, presentations, and self-assessments.
