Eligibility

  • From Board Policy 810

    The Board shall provide transportation for all public, private or parochial school students who reside in the district and meet the following criteria:[1]

    1. Students in elementary schools who reside one (1) or more miles from their assigned school, and students in secondary schools who reside two (2) or more miles from their assigned school are eligible for transportation. When no school is assigned, the distance requirement is calculated using the school attended and the residence of the student.
       
    2. Students in elementary schools who reside less than one (1) mile and students in secondary schools who reside less than two (2) miles from their assigned or attended school may be transported depending on factors relating to their health or hazardous conditions of the roads or streets they must traverse on their way to and from school.[2][6]

    Non-district students who are eligible for transportation may request it by using this form.
